Working with Karen Donohue is always a remarkable experience—her presence on set is both inspirational and deeply rewarding. In A Sound From Within, Karen takes on the role of Angelica, a seemingly small part that she transforms into something profoundly impactful. It’s one of her incredible talents: the ability to make any role, no matter the size, feel significant and layered. Angelica, the compassionate waitress, becomes a beacon of humanity and warmth, providing a grounding contrast to the film's surreal and ethereal elements, thanks to Karen's nuanced performance.
Having collaborated with her before, I know firsthand that her commitment to every character is unwavering. She brings an authenticity and emotional depth that elevates the narrative, and her portrayal of Angelica leaves a lasting impression. Karen’s ability to infuse life into the subtleties of a character makes her an irreplaceable part of any project. Her contributions are always a reminder that there are no small roles when you have an actor who understands the weight of every word, every glance, and every moment on screen.
